La DoubleJ is an independent, founder-led luxury lifestyle brand known for its unique, heart-forward mission, as well as its fair-luxury, DTC-first model with selected wholesale distribution. Profitable since inception, the company is poised for accelerated growth through retail expansion in the US and Europe, selective market entry in the Middle East, and eventual growth in Asia. While its core business is ready to wear, its upscaled 100% made in Italy homeware collections, first introduced in 2017, give the brand a unique positioning and expanded offering in the luxury market.

HOMEWARE DIVISION DIRECTOR
Role Overview
The Home Division Director, reporting to the COO, leads and oversees the strategic direction, growth, and manages operating team overall ad performance of LDJ’s uniquely positioned Homeware Division. This role sits at the heart of the brand, shaping the positioning, category and collection structure and developing Go To Market strategy of collections and balancing ensuring they are both creatively inspiring and commercial results competitive.
The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of:
Technical expertise across materials such as ceramics, glass, and textiles;
Strong knowledge of the global luxury homeware market, its players, and its dynamics;
The ability to guide creative ideas into structured collections that align with LDJ’s brand vision and growth objectives.
This role demands a deep market knowledge, creative sensitivity and managerial discipline: turning inspiration into coherent, innovative collections while leading a team through calendars, budgets, and product launches. Like all La DoubleJ senior management positions, the ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, flexible mindset and entrepreneurial spirit as we build the homeware business together. Many home team resources are also shared and mixed within the ready to wear and accessories teams so the candidate must be an excellent team player, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and jump in to lead the fast action.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and oversee the structure positioning of LDJ’s Home collections, ensuring balance, depth, and consistency across categories;
Participates in the 3 years planning, proposes budget objectives and drives the seasonal development plan in alignment with brand positioning and overall growth objectives;
Anticipate and interpret market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to reinforce LDJ’s positioning in luxury homeware;
Define and ensure an organic growth of the Home Division based on the progressive company results.
Product Development & Technical Expertise
Lead the internal product design and development team, ensuring excellence across porcelain, ceramics, glass, textiles, and other materials:
Lead liason between suppliers, design team and product teams to guarantee technical feasibility, quality standards, and cost targets while promoting innovation in techniques and processes.
Collaborate with suppliers, artisans, and creative partners; identify and introduce new talent and production partners;
Foster continuous research into new materials, processes, and approaches to keep LDJ at the forefront of the industry.
Merchandising &Pricing
· Work closely with the Merchandising team, providing input on collection structure, product balance, and competitive positioning;
· Support pricing strategies and assortment definition with market and product insights;
· Align collection calendars with go-to-market timelines, ensuring consistency across creative, commercial, and marketing areas.
Go To Market & Commercial Development
· Develops go to market strategy for all Homeware product categories - distribution, regional
· Partners. Wholesale and DTC channels role;
· Oversee the Homeware Sales Manager for both wholesale and DTC sales results;
· Support commercial expansion across partnerships, wholesale, retail, contract, and DTC channels;
· Monitor sales results, inventory turnover, and market response to inform future collection strateg.
Marketing, Content & Brand Experience
· Partner with Marketing to craft storytelling and experiences that highlight the uniqueness of LDJ Home;
· Oversee the full user experience of Homeware on the website, ensuring navigation, product presentation, and customer journey are best-in-class;
· Supervise the overall digital experience of HW LDJ.com, making sure it reflects the brand’s positioning across all categories;
· Lead product launches, Salone del Mobile initiatives, and other global activations.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Build and inspire a high-performing team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Coordinates with other stakeholders (Marketing, Creative, Supply Chaih, Wholesale) to maximize results, strategic alignment and brand development.
Scope of activity
HDD to cover and address following areas in detail:
Product
· Manage the internal homeware studio: work flow, calendars, timetables, budgets and deliverables of the creative teams with all outside requests;
· Coordinate timing and content of presentations of all Homeware creative work to the Creative Director;
· Contribute to research: markets, products, techniques, sales benchmarks, smart costing and quality opportunities;
· Propose and introduce new Suppliers, collaborators and creatives;
· Promote HW Sales oppoortunities, also scouting strategic partners;
· Manage content and DTC customer journey as it applies to homeware;
· Oversee the Salone del Mobile event and product launches.
Trade & Contract
· Field new initiatives in partnership with other key members of the management committee
· Oversee the creative conceptualization, execution of each project;
· Work with other company divisions on bringing to fruition each project ;
· Developing key go to market strategies.
Major internal interfaces
• Work alongside the founder/Creative Director, attending all meetings and work sessions with full visibility to all related projects;
• Work closely with project management to manage all approvals and resolve any delays ;
• Bring a strong communication style to a highly collaborative cross-functional team environment ;
• Take initial exploratory calls related to all outside collaborations and initiatives with other key management committee members:
• Create presentations that capture each project fully.
Our ideal profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus;
· Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within the Homeware department of a
Fshion/Luxury Brand;
· Proven track record in growing and developing sales channels and driving revenue growth especially in the Europe and US market;
· Strong negotiation and communication skills;
· Energetic, dynamic and hands-on approach;
· In-depth knowledge of Fashion/Luxury market and an exceptional high-end luxury taste, sense of style and product sensibility with a strong focus on Homeware categories;
· Direct experience in managing and understanding project-based business models, WW level;
· Excellent leadership, organizational and flexibility skills;
· Milan based but the availability to travel internationally is mandatory;
· Italian and English fluent.
