We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our fast-growing Tech team in Milan.

You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that drives business decisions across our portfolio of over 30 luxury, fashion and design brands.


In this role, you will build and maintain scalable data solutions, e.g. creating ETL processes to enhance sales analysis, or implementing statistical models for marketing mix modeling; plus, you will mainly work with the Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataform, Compute Engine), interacting with a wide array of sources and destinations.


The ideal candidate is ready to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a wide variety of projects.





What you’ll do:

  • Deliver diverse data projects, working together with developers, tech and business teams.

  • Build and optimize data models, integrating novel data sources as new opportunities arise (e.g. new ecommerce platforms, CRM platforms, cost sources).

  • Collect requirements from stakeholders and turn them into actionable tasks.

  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across pipelines.

  • Develop user-friendly dashboards and reporting systems for business intelligence purposes.

  • Document data workflows to enhance knowledge sharing, through technical writing and flowcharts.


What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 0-2 years of experience.

  • Proficiency in SQL, especially for data manipulation and querying.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and cloud environments.

  • Comfortable with Python, and its common libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy).

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Lookers Studio or similar data visualization tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and consistency.

  • Fluent in English. Italian is a plus.


Nice to have:

  • Personal projects or experiences that you are proud to show us.

  • Understanding of digital analytics (e.g. Google Analytics 4).

  • Familiarity with statistical computing programs like R, SPSS.
